Step 1. User and Contact Management (Mandatory)

What is User and Contact Management?

User and Contact Management is creating and changing Powerpay Web’s records regarding the people at your organization who work with payrolls. 

On the User & Contact Management screen you will manage the records of:

  • Users – people who have, or need, a Powerpay User ID in order to enter payroll data into the software.  There must be at least one user assigned to your company.  Users can also be contacts.
  • Contacts – people who are NOT Powerpay Users but who should still be contacted in case of certain payroll issues.  At least one Contact or User must be assigned to be the Primary Contact for your company.

Why do I have to do this?

Users must be added through this screen in order to receive a username and password that will allow them to access Powerpay Web. 

On this screen, you can:

  • create new contacts or users
  • reset a new user’s password and resend his or her “Welcome to Powerpay” email
  • view, enter, change, or delete user or contact information (e.g. email address, phone number, contact type, personal verification questions)
  • temporarily disable or enable a user’s access to Powerpay Web
  • print the Legal Acceptance Agreement
